Fi Brown grew up in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and now lives in Hastings, East Sussex. She has a BA in Fine Art painting from Liverpool John Moore's University and an MA in Public Art and Design from Chelsea College of Art. She taught Art and Design in schools and colleges for many years and has worked in a variety of public art contexts. At the moment she is drawing, painting, printmaking, swimming and sailing....but not all at once. Her work has been exhibited locally and nationally. Currently, her work can be seen in the Coastal Currents Festival in Hastings in September, Woolwich International Print Fair in November and during August at the Rye Society summer exhibition and in the Wells Contemporary Exhibition in Wells Cathedral.
